Indications/Uses

NEXIUM:Treatment of: Lower gastrointestinal symptoms such as dysphagia, esacal difficulty, and fecal urgency. NEXIUM: Active ingredient: Active ingredient(s) (esomeprazole) has been shown to have similar pharmacological effects as Saxenda, which has less active ingredient(s) than NEXIUM.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Esomeprazole should be administered with food. It is not recommended to administer dose more frequently than directed. The frequency of dose administration should be based on the severity of the symptoms and the frequency of the underlying condition. For dysphagia, the recommended dose is 1-2 doses every 2 weeks. In severe cases, the recommended dose is 3-10 doses per month. Esomeprazole should be given with food.

Administration

May be taken with other medications for dysphagia or other symptoms of gastro-intestinal symptoms (e.g., other forms of gastrointestinal symptoms).
